Elegance Bridal Studio was born from a childhood ambition of proprietor Julia Carr.  Julia firmly believes it was her vocation in life to follow her dream and create a bridal boutique which is unique,special and personal,whilst offering true honest opinions to brides as to what styles suit them.

Julia ensures that every bride receives a V.I.P. red carpet experience from the first point of contact to walking down the ailse,nothing is too much trouble,whilst Julia's perfectionism and eye for detail guarantee's that every bride who purchases a gown from Elegance,will look and feel beautiful whilst being expertly styled with matching accessories.

"Its just as important to us that our brides choose the perfect gown,after all our reputation walks down the aisle with them"  Its this ethos that has earned Elegance a fine array of business awards, crowned for three consecutive years 'Best Bridal Shop' in 2008,2009 & 2010, whilst also receiving a very respectable 2nd place in 2011 awarded by the Barnsley Civic Trust Shop Awards.

Most recently Elegance was shortlisted in the 2012 Wedding Industry awards,from 30 entrants Elegance won through to the final 7 within the North East region,being the only one from South Yorkshire.

Within the same premises you will find a full alteration service by an experienced and highly skilled seamstress,who can also tailor make bridesmaids dresses and mother of the bride outfits. Also discover our seperate mens formal hire department, which owned and run by Julia's husband John Carr.  Sensational Formal Hire have just been awarded 'Best Menswear Supplier' within the North East region in the 2012 Wedding Industry Awards, your groom and his men will experience the same V.I.P. treatment and expert advice, guaranteeing that each member of your wedding entourage compliments your wedding perfectly. This will make the selection of all your wedding outfits and enjoyable and stress-free process.
